The Volunteer Presale is on Monday, Feb. 27th
Consignors: Your shopping start time depends on the number of shifts you volunteer:
1 shift (3 hours) volunteers shop at 5:00 pm
2 shift (6 hours) volunteers shop at 4:00 pm and have their consignor fee waived.
3 shift (9 hours) volunteers shop at 3:00pm, have their consignor fee waived and earn 70% commission.
** New ** 5 shifts (15 hours) Super volunteers shop at 2:00pm, have their consignor fee waived and earn 75% commission.** Super Volunteers are required to fill out an application. You may apply and let us know your interest by emailing theweesale@comporium.net

CONSIGNOR VOLUNTEER OPTIONS:
Single Shift (3-HOURS) VOLUNTEER:
Volunteer to work one 3-hour shift at the Upscale WeeSale and you will be eligible to shop our exclusive Pre-sale on Tuesday, Feb.27th, 2012 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm, and our private 1/2 off sale Sunday, March 4th at 12:00pm. We open to the public at 1:30pm.
Double Shift (6-HOURS) VOLUNTEER: If you choose to work 2 or more shifts – one of those must be a sorting/breakdown shift.
Volunteer for a second shift and you are eligible to shop our exclusive PreSale starting at 4:00pm PLUS your consignor fee is waived!
Triple Shift (9-hours) VOLUNTEER: EARN EXTRA MONEY!
Volunteer for three 3-hour volunteer shifts and you are eligible to shop our exclusive pre-sale starting at 3:00pm, Receive 70% and your consignor fee is waived!
This requires you to work two regular shifts plus one sorting breakdown shift.
Super Volunteers have been selected for the Spring/Summer 2012 sale! 5 Shift (15-hours) SUPER VOLUNTEER: EARN even more EXTRA MONEY! You must be a previous consignor/volunteer to be a Super Volunteer and will need to apply to be a super volunteer! Please email Kim at theweesale@comporium.net if you are interested in our Super Volunteer opportunity! Applications will be accepted through February 1st, 2012. Applicants will be picked based on a clear criminal check, prior experience, team attitude and seniority. Super Volunteer applications will be accepted until after Jan. 20th, 2012

Volunteer for five (3-hour) volunteer shifts and you are eligible to shop our exclusive pre-sale starting at 2:00pm, Receive 75% and your consignor fee is waived! Super Volunteer Tee included!
Super Volunteers are required to work our set up shift, one sorting/breakdown shift, one opening night shift, one consignor drop off shift Monday – Wednesday 9a – 12pm, and 1 other shift of your choice. Super volunteers may also be asked to go above and beyond by helping out if needed.
Not Consigning? You don’t have to be a consignor to volunteer!
Volunteers that do not consign pay a $25.00 fee. A Paypal invoice will be sent to you. Volunteers that do not consign shop at 5:00pm. You must work 2 volunteer shifts. One regular shift and one sorting/breakdown shift. Please contact Kim Willaby at theweesale@comporium.net for further information.
VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES
- WeeSale PreSale passes are valid for ONE person, if you want to shop with a friend, encourage them to consign and volunteer.
- Volunteer time slots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will not add additional shifts once spots fill up.
- For safety reasons, children will not be allowed to accompany volunteers during shifts. PLEASE don’t bring children to your work shifts. We love your kids, but we cannot allow them to be with you during your volunteer shifts.
- Consignors that fail to work their scheduled volunteer time will be removed from our volunteering list and will not be able to volunteer in future sales. A fine of $25.00 will be deducted from your consignor check if you fail to show for a scheduled shift and you fail to contact us in a timely manner. You will be given an opportunity to make up your shift to avoid this fee. We do understand that emergency situations occur and we will look at those on a case by case basis.
- Pregnant volunteers will be assigned volunteer positions that do not require manual labor or long periods of time on their feet. We also offer our pregnant volunteers to bring volunteer snacks, place baskets at local companies, and/or place a WeeSale magnet on your car. VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Consignor Drop Off Assistant:
Assist consignors with their drop off items and help place items on the sales floor.
Register Assistant:
Help at our register check-out assisting the cashier by counting and making sure all items are scanned and placing them in shopping bags.
Equipment Patrol:
Remove purchased items off the floor into our hold/sold area.
Sales Floor Assistant:
Help us stay organized during the sale while helping customers and security. You will not be required approach anyone suspected of illegal activity.
Sorting and Breakdown (available as a 2nd shift):
Be part of the group that sorts donated items and not sold items back out by consignor #, at the end of the sale. The more volunteers the quicker it goes. Save yourself a trip and bring your unsold items home with you!
Postcard Delivery:
You will be required to take 10 postcard baskets to local businesses. After you have completed your basket drop off, please send me a list of business with their address.
VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT:
- The Upscale Weesale will require that volunteers fulfill their obligation to work their assigned 3 hour shift. If the volunteer does not fulfill their obligation, the volunteer will not be allowed to participate as a volunteer in the future.
- We know circumstances arise and we will take those into consideration.
- Volunteers must be on time and fulfill the entire shift in order to attend the pre-sale.
- Please do not ask us to hold or purchase items before the pre-sale. We must be fair and consistent to all volunteers.
- Please understand that these rules have been created in an effort to maintain a smoothly run and reputable sale.
